I am Péter Jakab Szőke, I have been working as a freelance, full time artist since 2006. I
have participated in 42 solo and 105 group exhibitions with my works, I worked at 33 art
symposiums and organised artist camps on numerous occasions. In 2018 I founded the
Blonard Studio in Budapest, which is my own atelier and show room gallery.
My Studio participates in the Art Market Budapest every year, we have presented
performances at the Museum of Fine Arts Budapest, the Hungarian Music House and other

Painting gives me the form of expression, how I can show the experience of human life with

What does the price of artworks depend on?
The art trade is a very special market. Art is
actually an unmeasurable achievement, and its value cannot be determined even in the
material used.
It is a subjective form of investment, often based on relationships.
What can help the buyer decide whether to find a suitable work of art for themselves can be
summarized in the following points:
- Most importantly: what do I feel when I look at the picture! Does it delight me? Does it bring
back good memories? - Can I connect with it in thought, does it inspire me, does it encourage me to take action?
Did I fall in love with it? If we feel that ist comes to our mind many times during the day, our
thoughts return to it again and again, this is a very good sign that we have found something. - The size, technique and material of the artwork also greatly affect its price.
- Knowing the artist’s career helps a lot in judging the background of the picture, the artist’s
commitment to painting. - The price of artworks slowly increases with the artist’s exhibitions, appearances at art fairs,
and inclusion in collections, the availability of the paintings and their confirmation on the
